Winter Season

I know some of you think I am talking about the actual winter season. Though they can be tough and unpleasant to us all every year. It is still nothing to be compared to the winter seasons of Life. When it is dark and gloomy, and seems as though the sun will never shine. Many of us in those times just want to shrivel up and die, because of the storms being so fierce and not being able to see the other side of the season. We beg God to deliver us from this season when the truth is, we need to embrace it. We need to learn how to prepare for these seasons and endure them instead of dreading it and crying out to God for deliverance.

"My mother used to tell me growing up that we need the Winter season for certain things to die for our survival. So if God knew we would need the winter season for the natural to serve that purpose, then it must apply to the spiritual as well."

It is in these seasons that we learn the true meaning of leaning on the Lord to be our everything. Our high places are knocked down in this season. Our issues are exposed and dealt with in this season and When we come out, if done right, we will look more like Jesus Christ then when we first went in. Winter drives us to shelter (Jesus) and we need that or we will never look to Him for anything. So embrace the season and learn from it!

Remember! It's only a season and what comes next is the beautiful season of Spring where all things are new and abounding! The Old dies in the Winter for the Spring to make New. God is preparing you for the New and Fresh that comes with your next season!
